The only sure basis for assurance is the Word of God.  It's important for you to know that it's impossible to lose your salvation if you have truly trusted Jesus Christ for your salvation.

 

John 3:16

God so loved the world that world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not not perish, but have everlasting life.

 

John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hearth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.

1 John 5:13

These things have I written unto you that you believe on the Son of God; that ye know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:11-12 

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

John 3:15

That whosever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life.

 

Titus 1:2

In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began,

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Ephesian 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves: it is a gift of God. Not of works, lest any man should boast.

 

 It’s important that you find a church that teaches and preaches the Word of God so you can grow spiritually to be able to discern what is right and what is wrong. Only God's Word can give you this assurance.
